 ONLINE LIGHTING CONSULTATION

Our lighting consultation service offers you an opportunity to have expert lighting guidance and architectural lighting design which is personalised to suit your home.

 
 
 

AMAR BRAR  - Isla James Lighting

 With over 20 years of experience in lighting design for prime residential and boutique hotels across the world, Amar is an industry expert. Together you will review the plans and discuss how to light the spaces. Amar will mark up the ideas and lighting designs onto your plans both for your record and the electrician’s.

 

PRICING

 We offer 1 or 2 hour consultations depending on your requirements. Please see pricing below:

1 Hour: £225 plus VAT
2 Hours: £450 plus VAT

 
 

 This service includes expert guidance on:

• Lighting advice per room
• Luminaire selection
• Lighting layers
• Lighting Control (Switch v Smart Lighting)
• Lighting good practice
• Lighting details
• Sketch lighting layout
• Advice on decorative fixtures

Please note: cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled date will be strictly non-refundable. Cancellations made outside of this window will be refunded at 75% of the total fee paid.

To make the most of the consultation please send the following information to info@islajameslighting.com before your meeting:

1. Floor plans with Furniture layouts even in sketch form
2. Summary of help required
3. Photos of the room/house
4. Inspirational imagery - Pinterest or on email

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 
 

  • We book a Teams video call which will send you an invitation prior to the day. When you click into the Teams link you will be invited to join the meeting. Once you are online Amar can share the screen with you to show you the plans and any markups. During this time you will be able to ask questions and gain valuable feedback and advice.

  • This depends on the size and complexity of the spaces, but during a one-hour session you may be able to cover 2 bedrooms and a bathroom or one large open plan space.

  • All we require prior to the session is your architectural plan, any furniture placement (even if sketched), photos of the space, inspirational imagery (Pinterest) and any information you can give about what is on the walls, such as joinery design.

  • Amar will be able to recommend lighting products that suit your home, the look and your budget.

  • The time is limited to the consultation only so please make sure all your questions are asked during the session. If you run out of time or don’t get to ask everything you need to then we encourage you to book another consultation.

  • You are able to do this on the website. Simply book the date and time that suits you.

  • The fee for the consultation needs to be settled in full by credit or debit card at the time of booking.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled date will be strictly non-refundable. Cancellations made outside of this window will be refunded at 75% of the total fee paid.
